Private Driver at Orange, Carpentras, Cavaillon and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue Stations
Regional trains reach the Vaucluse, but villages, farmhouses and wine estates are far from the platforms. Your driver handles the last leg.
- Orange station — to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Vaison-la-Romaine, Gigondas. From 65 €.
- Carpentras station — to Bédoin and Mont Ventoux, Pernes-les-Fontaines, Venasque. From 65 €.
- Cavaillon station — to the Luberon (Ménerbes, Oppède, Lourmarin). From 65 €.
- L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue / Fontaine-de-Vaucluse station — to Gordes, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Saumane. From 65 €.
Which Vaucluse train station is closest to where you are staying?
Pick the station on the same side of the region as your accommodation: Orange for the north, Carpentras for Mont Ventoux, Cavaillon for the Luberon, and L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue for the Monts de Vaucluse. All four are linked to Avignon by regional TER trains, so you can arrive on a TGV at Avignon and finish by local train. Your private driver takes over outside the small station, where there is often no taxi waiting and no bus to the villages.
Approximate drive times:
- Orange → Châteauneuf-du-Pape: about 15 minutes.
- Carpentras → Bédoin, at the foot of Mont Ventoux: about 25 minutes.
- Cavaillon → Ménerbes or Oppède: about 20 minutes.
- L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue → Fontaine-de-Vaucluse: about 10 minutes; to Gordes, about 20 minutes.
If your address falls between two stations, send it to us and we will tell you which one works best.
What happens if your regional train is late or cancelled?
Your driver adapts by tracking your train's real-time arrival. The Vaucluse TER stations are small, so your driver simply waits in front of the station building with a name sign, with no charge for delay-related waiting. Regional trains are sometimes cancelled or retimed, particularly during engineering works. If you end up on a different train, call or WhatsApp us and the pick-up time will be adjusted.
What is there to see near each station?
Orange
The Roman theatre and triumphal arch are minutes from the station. Further out: the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the wine villages of Gigondas and Séguret beneath the Dentelles de Montmirail, and Vaison-la-Romaine.
Carpentras
A big Friday morning market in the town centre and, in winter, the truffle market. The station is the natural starting point for Bédoin, Pernes-les-Fontaines, Venasque and Mont Ventoux. Note that the summit road is usually closed in winter.
Cavaillon
Famous for its melons and sitting right at the foot of the Luberon. From the station you are soon in Ménerbes, Oppède-le-Vieux or Robion, or across the hills in Lourmarin.
L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
An antiques town criss-crossed by channels of the Sorgue river, with a large Sunday morning market. Nearby are the spring at Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Saumane and Gordes.
Who is this service for?

Carpentras and Mont Ventoux draw riders from all over the world. The van carries bikes and luggage depending on volume; tell us how many bikes when you book.
Families and groups
Our 7-seat van takes larger families and small groups with luggage right to the door of the gîte or farmhouse.
Wine lovers
Heading to a wine estate for a tasting or a stay? Your chauffeur drops you off and collects you later, so nobody has to drive after the visit.
